Fornice Objects looks beyond the conventional and probes, questions and explores how one can, should or wants to shape the future. It uses technology that’s rapid, repeatable and rigorous to make bold yet ethereal statements.
This collection is named after the designer's memory of a trip to India.
Each piece is slowly crafted with machinery and hands, silently negotiating two contradictory elements, as porcelain and parametric designs.
Some vases are made of white Limoges porcelain.
Some vases are made of PLA, a polycytic acid derived from renewable resources like maize, compostable in industrial facilities. This component is mixed with agricultural waste such as hemp, tomato peel, pomegranate seeds and weed, resulting in textured surfaces and rough colours such as beige, red, acid green and green, respectively.
