TOWER
ONCE UPON A TIME THERE WAS AN ENCHANTED FOREST...
The Tower cabinet designed by the Mingotti and Giordano architects studio takes inspiration from the dream world of fairy tales, fairies, castles and enchanted woods.
As in fairy tales, in our house the tower aims to be a distinctive, explosive element.
A chest with something precious inside: our collections.
This is how the idea of the Tower Cabinet was born, a tower for our interiors: octagonal, a reference to medieval towers.
The style is eclectic. Its structure is slim. Its shell is shiny.
Its interior is enveloping: precious.
It's the nature? The fairy forest? The enchanted forest?
They come to life inside, in the precious decorations of a Flemish tapestry.
The tower does not only house our collections,
it guards our dreams: enchanted nature lives within it,
painted on the walls in a dreamlike forest
which comes from fairy tales and brings them to life every time it is opened.
“The need for a self-standing octagonal piece of furniture has often arisen during the design of spaces for our customers, it arises from the need to contain something “precious”: tableware. We have repeatedly designed sideboards and buffets dedicated to a specific environment, but this time we thought of an object that is itself the protagonist of the environment and that stimulates the imagination regarding its contents".
LOST IN FABULA
The forest acts as guardian,
full of fairy tales, to this fabulous creature.
Once upon a time
Flemish meticulousness
and there is another time.
The seventeenth-century Flemish tapestries populated by extraordinary creatures give life to the new Lost In Fabula wallpaper collection, designed by the Milanese studio Mingotti and Giordano architects in collaboration with Pictalab.
A translation on paper, decorated by hand as if it were a painting and placed inside the Tower Cabinets and on the studio screens, previewed during the Fuori Salone 2024.
The enchanted forest - theme of the exhibition - thus comes to life halfway between craftsmanship and artistic representation, in a single journey destined to last over time.
The made in Italy artisanal production of Laboratorio Paravicini will be hosted inside the two Tower Cabinets exhibited to the public for the first time. The collection, visible on site, is characterized by a series of plates in thin white earthenware worked on the wheel, decorated entirely by hand and representing an insect decoration, thus integrating the concept of the enchanted forest. Celadon ceramic, high-fire enamel technique.
Also inside the studio, a dining room and a library will be set up, entirely customized by Laboratorio Paravicini, offering visitors a truly immersive experience.
