On the occasion of the Milano Re-Design City, from September 28th to October 10th 2020, Silvio Levi, CEO of Calé invites the Milanese public to an unusual combination of ceramic art and artistic perfumery with "Gli Essenziali", an exhibition of the works of the ceramists Andrea Salvatori and POL that will inhabit the spaces of Pérfume by Calé, Creed Boutique Milano and Boutique Histoires de Parfums, being included in an olfactory in-depth examination.

The curator Irene Biolchini thought for Calé "The Essentials" in order to put in contact "the alchemical component of the world of perfumes, in which matter takes new life in fragrance, with the ceramic practice: a world in which powders and earth are transformed through the manual skill of the artists in work and experience". Irene Biolchini continues "The works on display show a reinterpretation of tradition with elements of fusion and innovation obtained through experimentation and daily work in the studio".

Starting from the earth, the artists obtain their own forms working on classic moulds, reworked and reassembled to create a final effect with an alienating taste: a classic taste opens to unexpected elements of the contemporary.

In the same way, the master perfumers create fragrances, combining the countless vegetable, mineral and animal raw materials at the disposal of their genius to achieve the imagined olfactory form.
