Studio Materiazione

Studio Materiazione, founded by the architect and designer Massimo Rigaglia, deals with architecture and design at all scales of the project and is based between Milan and Taormina.

Rigorously attentive to social, environmental and cultural issues, he constantly searches through an open and multidisciplinary approach for new meanings and new interpretations of the natural and artificial environment that surrounds us. 

Matter and action are the constants that merge with each project in a single word, Materiazione, which can be summarized as a process of design manipulation based on the understanding of materials in relation to the actions that generate new conditions and new realities. 

The studio is sensitive to the specifics of the context, to the details and to all the aspects affecting the project, with the aim of always seeking quality in the simplest and most rational way possible, trying with elementary gestures to obtain the pre-established results by responsibly using the minimum of resources.

Studio Materiazione also designs and produces objects of fine manufacture, in collaboration with trusted master craftsmen selected for their talent and passion, and is constantly active with larger production realities, developing interesting and innovative transversal synergies between craftsmanship and industry. 

Dialogue, listening, the comparison of ideas, the sharing of different technical skills are the basis of the philosophy and working method of Materiazione studio.
