A destiny that seemed already written,
a passion for horsemanship, that would have made a brilliant career.
Then, like it usually happens in life, a round of cards breaks it up, and the Florentine Giulia Archimede, with a passion for nature, art and craftmanship- has to take a different tack. Interior decor is the key to give expression
to her inedited creative vision: not only the concept and product but a spiritual idea of the everyday life, of the materials and of the project.
After living several years in Cape Town and Helsinki, and collecting experiences under a human and professional point of view, she moves back to italy to create her own projects. In Pietrasanta, between foundries and marble quarries, she encounters the great wisdom
of master craftsmen that will help her make her products a great example of italian manufacturing.
The first company to understand her talent
is Catellani&Smith that will produce her first Alchemie Creation, presenting it at
Salone Del Mobile in 2019.
Without rhetoric and with diligence, Giulia gets, still very young, to her idea of design. Experiences and unexpressed emotions
flow together with the creative gesture, in a synergy of material and thinking, where the thinking part is the source of high vibrations.
It couldn’t be any different: to Giulia, when it’s a quiet mind to conceive the thinking, it will be the very same thought to influence the sorrounding space with positive images.
Giulia is one of the few young designer of her generation who embraced this spiritual philosophy into the making of her objects. Her creations, contemporary sculptures that lead back to nature, stars and to the original matter, are born from this principle.
Not by chance they are about light.
Everyday objects that carry with them the sign of their ancient history.
