Markus Benesch per Curious Boy

Markus Benesch is a self-taught designer, inventor and artist. His unique language is expressed in spaces, products, materials, surfaces and objects.
At the age of 18 he opened his studio in Munich. The creation of totalizing experiences that include the physical space - walls, ceiling and floor - as well as the objects and clothing of the participants become his signature.
In 1988 he founded Markus Benesch Creates, a multidisciplinary design studio dedicated to creating whimsical products, surfaces and interiors. He has presented his collections at major international trade fairs and has designed and styled numerous stores, hotels and showrooms.
He also collaborates with renowned design brands. His designs have been published in many design publications, such as the International Design Yearbook. Benesch holds lectures and workshops as Visiting Professor of Interior Design, Industrial Design and Innovation Design at ESAD École supérieure d'Art et de Design de Reims, and at NABA Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti, IED Istituto Europeo di Design and Politecnico di Milano.
