Born in Sicily, Marcella Trimarchi moved to Milan in 1985 to study fashion.
In 1989 she began working with the biggest names in fashion: Gianni Versace, Tom Ford, Valentino and Moncler Gamme Rouge.
In 2012 he moved to New York working for Calvin Klein as VP Creative Product Devolopment.
In 2018 she decided to reconnect with her creative side. Attracted by the bold arrangements of flowers she combines her remarkable eye for beauty with her extraordinary attention to detail thus reinventing herself as The Art Flower Maker. Here her creations are no longer ephemeral but are permanently captured through sculpture and photography.
Particularly during her walks in New York City, Marcella discovers the decorative beauty of Lilygrass leaves, making them the stars of her new design work. The seductive flexibility of the leaves allows her hands to gently bend and twist them in a way that resembles silk ribbons or endless pencil-drawn curves.
His designs are simple yet elegant and fill spaces with grace and lightness by playing with reflections and shadows, creating an illusion of infinite swirls.
Every flower and leaf Marcella draws is carefully handmade, made to capture the beauty and diversity of nature. Each flower and leaf sculpture is truly a unique work of art, with different perspectives from every angle, capturing the attention and enchanting the eye of the viewer.
