Gallerie - Arte Contemporanea

Via Nerino, 2, 20123 Milano

Wunderkammern is the leading Urban Art gallery in Italy, a reference point for the movement since its opening in 2008 in Rome, in the Tor Pignattara district. Driven by the enthusiasm and passion that characterises its activity, in 2016 Wunderkammern opened a second location in the centre of Milan, in via Nerino 2.

The gallery promotes an international programme of excellence for contemporary research in its different forms and languages. The Wunderkammern gallery represents emerging, mid-career and established artists – including Shepard Fairey (Obey), Blek le Rat, JonOne, D*Face, Miaz Brothers, Sten Lex and 2501 – whose work relates strongly to urban space and community.

Wunderkammern's activities makes clear the gallery's interest in getting closer to the public, also thanks to a plan that combines exhibitions in the gallery with interventions in the city by internationally renowned artists. An example of this are the walls by Sten Lex at ex Convitto of Parco Trotter (via Angelo Mosso, corner of via Padova).

Wunderkammern takes part in important national and international fairs and carries out numerous projects in collaboration with cultural institutions, public bodies and museums (Casa Museo Francesco Messina, GAM - Galleria d'Arte Moderna di Roma, MACRO, MMOMA - Moscow Museum of Modern Art) in order to promote the work of artists in the art world and inspire its collectors. Artists and their projects are often the subjects of articles in national and international magazines.

From 2020 the gallery joined the Deodato Group and in 2022 announced the opening of a new venue in the heart of Rome, in Via Giulia 180.

The directors of Wunderkammern gallery are Giuseppe Pizzuto, Deodato Salafia and Dorothy de Rubeis. Alessandra Orlandi is the general manager and Giulia Torri is the gallery manager in Rome.
