This small and green oasis is hidden among private buildings, just behind Corso Magenta.
The land was donated by Galeazzo Visconti and Ludovico il Moro to Lorenzo dè Medici, together with the adjacent building, still called Casa Medici, in order to offer the prince of Florence an appropriate accommodation during his stays in Milan to visit the Sforza family.
Casa Medici was then transformed into a monastic complex (the former refectory became the Orchidea essay cinema) and then into a barrack until two years ago, when the Municipality ensured a safe access to the building and opened the garden to the public.
The entrance is in via Terraggio 5. Opening hours are the same of the municipal gardens’ ones.
