In a futuristic but not too futuristic Milan, where electricity is powered by quantum gravity batteries, the Cinque Vie neighborhood becomes a digital environment for the serious game 5Vie Metaverso "La Quinta Via", inspired by Petrarca's "Secretum".
A serious game to discover the most mysterious and unknown book by the great Italian intellectual.
"What is La Quinta Via? An experience of unconventional knowledge through play"
“When Emanuele and Ernesta from 5VIE invited me to collaborate for Design Week in 2023, I had just returned from the presentation at the Mobile Congress in Barcelona of an artificial intelligence tool based on music and human biometric data. We created a multimedia installation where people could observe works of art (in that case a splendid installation by Richard Yasmine) and at the same time generate personalized music from Artificial Intelligence while observing the work.
That “human” music has become the soundtrack of a serious game set in Milan in 2163, where the virtual experience is guided by the chapters of Petrarca’s “Secretum”, who in the 15th century also lived for some years in the 5VIE quadrilateral”

Gameplay
In Milan in 2050, radically changed and suspended between a real version and a digital overlay of its original topography, places, areas and toponyms have survived but their location has evolved with the new hybrid status of urban spaces. The symbolic building of 5Vie, in via Cesare Correnti, retains its original and recognizability, but inside the apartment acts as a portal to infinite rooms in which artist's visions are preserved.
Milan is the Capital of Peace; the society, through decades of deep research on intelligence and consciousness, has reached a technological level such that it finds its main engine in the diffusion of cultural values. The discovery of the Glyphs of Knowledge, extraordinary devices capable of adding specific memories to people's cultural baggage, has revolutionized the way of understanding the sphere of personal well-being, quickly becoming the center of an epochal revolution.
In this interactive experience, explore the scenario in search of the cybernetic boxes containing the Glyphs. Each glyph will increase the Awareness bar, unlocking an entry in the inventory relating to Petrarca's Secretum. Once you have found them all, you will be able to access the Unveiling of the Secretum.
In addition, by activating the Totems scattered around the neighborhood, you can unlock special clean energy batteries. For each battery found, you will be rewarded with a story segment dedicated to the 5Vie neighborhood.

-I to open the inventory
- Mouse to look around by rotating the camera
- activate the ending, when you have reached maximum Awareness (red bar) and the Secretum title changes to a white button Reveal the Secretum (click on it)
- exit the inventory, by clicking on the X in the top right
