Gilda Contemporary Art
Via San Maurilio, 14

The first association for Contemporary Art is to present "OP visionary decoration" a project of Eloisa Gobbo for the Fuori Salone 2025, curated by Cristina Gilda Artese.
The initiative pays attention to the peculiarities of the palace and hosts the show in via San Maurilio 14 in the square of the 5th Vie in Milan, a late time of the artist Ruggero Savinio, son of Giorgio de Chirico. The project envisages a scenic addition inside the main hall, with a round table in the center inspired by seven centuries-old appearances, imbandita nei del bianco e del nero, reinterpretata in contemporary chiave. In this, Trionfano operates in ceramics from sinuous and organic forms, created appropriately by the artist. This new work evokes biological compositions that combine figurative and astral elements, inspired by the rich variety of terrestrial and marine flora and fauna.
The wall of the living room sound animate of a series of opere tessili. A large red table, positioned behind the central table, is the basic setting and, thanks to the contrast of shape and color, creates the atmosphere of festosi banchetti of the old nobility.
The series of opera tessili, contemporary works, is one of the most recent research styles in the artist’s career. In this context, the tessili opéra can be interpreted as a kind of "collage of records" originating from the artist's imagination, from the tessili archive of the museum's manufacture analyzed and from a reworking of the original motif from more disparate fonts.
Eloisa Gobbo has created part of the ceramics present in her exhibition during a residency in Germany in 2024 in collaboration with Keramikkuenstlerhaus, a foundation that aims to support international artists experimenting with new techniques, based on the Northern European ceramic heritage. This collaboration allows the artist to work with materials and techniques that you can experiment with first.
The other works in ceramics as a corollary to the entire project, which will be realized during a residency in Montelupo Fiorentino in 2022, during which Eloisa Gobbo has found a way to delve into the materials and techniques of the school tradition of the place stesso Museum of pottery.
