Human minds have the great power to transform reality. Through the artist’s gaze, everything can become something different, suspended between multiple worlds, multiple forms of art, between the substance that constitutes it and the form with which it presents itself to the world. This is how an object, an artwork, or an idea leaves reality and leans toward the surreal, continuously suspended between what is and what could be.

Curated by designer Valeriya Dzyuba, co-founder of Bespoke Design Lab, the project involves three artists that bring together different fields, languages, and reflections.

The result is a hymn to the concept of transformation.

The familiar becomes foreign, the everyday turns into the surreal. A table is no longer just a table, but the tablecloth that covers it. Which, in turn, is not just a tablecloth, but a covering that transforms the entire object, alluding to the infinite changes possible under the push of imagination.

The illusory and ambiguous nature of our perceptions, which interpret reality and lead into the surreal, is emphasized by the reproduction in wood of the CETUS model, designed by Valeriya Dzyuba and made by FMF atelier. The result is the perfect balance between craftsmanship and innovative vision: it is from the ability to imagine and transform that unexpected realities are born. The wooden version of the CETUS Table features a completely self-sufficient composition, without any superstructures. A perfect synthesis of classical techniques and innovation.

On the occasion of the 2025 Salone del Mobile, the CETUS Table is included in a continuous and coherent space born from the collaboration between different disciplines and approaches.

“Surreal Transformations” carries forward a reflection that goes beyond the transformation of the object by the artist, to explore its propulsive force: the ability to imagine. Through a Textile Art installation created by designer Elona Izrailova, the space focuses on the power of imagination, in a reflection that involves both the human mind and Artificial Intelligence.

The ability to imagine is perhaps the most powerful, transformative forces that drives reality. Yet, this great power is increasingly being entrusted to artificial intelligence. Through the /IMAGINE prompt, we ask AI to transform a textual input into a visual experience. But what Elona Izrailova tells with her textile art /IMAGINE is precisely that the request to imagine typed on the keyboard is nothing but an illusion. The power of imagination is in fact strictly linked to the personal, experiential, emotional and human sphere. Imagine choosing, imagine feeling, imagine loving: through evocative phrases, the work invites us not to limit our imagination, but to use AI exclusively as a support, leaving the heart of the creative spark in the hands of human beings. The result is a work of textile art inspired by the shape of pixels. In a continuous metaphor, human thoughts become the threads of a plot, while the plots are transformed into prompts with an intense and provocative meaning.

Valeriya Dzyuba

Valeriya Dzyuba and her studio NIDO have been creating interior design projects since 2013, with an approach that emphasizes the uniqueness of each work and thinks outside the box. The designer defines her style as progressive minimalism: a mix of conciseness, modularity and logic in which the interiors must adapt to the external environment.

The play of volumes and the careful work on details reflect the rationalistic approach of the studio. Added to this is an extraordinary ability to transform functional and visual needs into simple and clean forms. Thanks to her approach and solid experience, Valeriya Dzyuba has been included for the past five years, in the top 100 designers of Architectural Digest.

FMF atelier

FMF atelier has been operating in the high-end carpentry market for 40 years, designing and producing luxury furniture. What distinguishes FMF atelier from other artisan companies is the ability to solve any problem that may arise during the design and research of the materials proposed in the various projects.

Franco Martinello has managed to transfer his passion to the people of the team, thus forming a highly qualified team of master carpenters who work with skill and dedication. Each project is completely customized and is based on a careful evaluation of the solutions and a selection of materials and finishes aimed at satisfying the customer's needs.

Elona Izrailova

Elona Izrailova is an artist and designer who lives in Milan. Her creations seem to merge simplicity and uniqueness, reaching an unconventional balance. Her brand includes design objects, patterns, wall pieces, fashion accessories and home decorations. Each piece is born from a deep study of symbols, shapes and materials, which translate into surprising objects. Lights and contrasts are key elements of her aesthetic code, which does not follow trends or rules. Years of experience in different fields of design have allowed Elona Izrailova to experiment with an open mind, always following her instinct. “The only rule is to create your own rules” is the motto that Elona follows in life and in the creative process. The result is a unique brand, influenced and inspired by art, design, fashion and photography.
