“Chinoiseries in Tapisseries” with special guests Lea Zeroil & Crizu Folded Books
Arjumand's World presents "Chinoseries in Tapisseries" a scenographic installation positioned in the heart of the 5vie design district during the Fuorisalone 2024.
A mysterious atmosphere suspended in time, a tribute to the chinoserie of the 18th century in which Europe had a notable influence on Chinese art. Floral motifs and mythological animals coming from an imaginary East revisited with European eyes in which the images of an ideal world are reflected. In April 2024 Arjumand will take you on a reverse journey along the Silk Road, a fascinating and overwhelming return to Europe inspired by eighteenth-century French tapestries.
