The project "ARCHETYPES, from Poseidonia to Paestum: research of contemporary artifacts" stems from the idea of wanting to enhance the formal technical heritage present in the territory through the creation of a series of porcelain objects inspired by the findings, from the fifth century, of the Museum of the Archaeological Park of Paestum.

The idea comes from an intuition of Aniello Rega and Nello Antonio Valentino, founders, as well as ceramists and designers, of the company Bhumi Ceramica. The research space was then shared and expanded by involving in the project, with the co-design formula, some young designers from Campania: Giuseppe Valentino, Raffaele Calvino and the 400 GON.

The basic guideline, shared by the entire working group, was to start from the Museum's archaeological finds to design objects with a distinctly contemporary taste and essential stylistic choices, while maintaining the distinctive formal traits of the initial inspirations.

Archetypes is featured in: Dezeen Awards 2021; ADI INDEX 2021; XXVII ADI Compasso D'Oro.

The Archetipi project will be presented at the location in Piazza Borromeo, 1 in synergy with DV Studio Legale.
