erbert, Italy's first healthy and tasty food chain meets Astrid Luglio, a product designer who focuses on culinary culture as a design medium.

With this collaboration, an interesting fusion of the worlds of food and art is born.

Botanical Banquet is a collection of both biscuit and glazed ceramics, assembled together in scenographic compositions, created in collaboration with the artisans of Vecchia Lodi artistic ceramics, where culinary and botanical elements form a landscape of soft, pale albino colours that interact with the raw material of the store, visually depicting its preciousness.

A totem pole in the Erbert atrium on which fruit and vegetables dominate as in a contemporary still life painting. Fennels, radicchios, tomatoes, asparagus, leeks, courgettes indispensable in the ages as spontaneous gifts of the earth. Peaches, lemons, citrons considered divine because growing on trees they got closer to the gods. In ancient Greece for the Pythagoreans as in Orphism, the link with a natural diet seemed to herald today's urgent need for awareness of the provenance and quality of what we eat. 

Botanical banquet is a tribute to that ancient yet contemporary thinking where ephemeral sculptures adorn the table and dialogue with Erbert's space and vision.
