RADAR INTERIOR

A young Italian-French brand founded in 2016 by designer and art director Bastien Taillard and by Francesca Bertini, Radar Interior creates lamps that interpret the evolution of design with the authenticity of the object ‘hand-crafted’ by expert European craftsmen. Simple and complex at once, connoted by concave and convex plastic shapes, and made in natural materials such as wood, plaster, marble, brass, the lamps signed by Radar Interior distinguish themselves with their original graphic ‘narrative’. After Solar, signed by Samuel Accoceberry, Pulse, designed by Pierre Charrié, is the second collection made in collaboration with an international designer and further enriches the range of proposals which, until recently, had been entirely designed by Bastien Taillard. Interested in the sensorial dimension (matter/sound/movement/touch) of everyday objects, Pierre Charrié’s design was triggered by the idea that sound, in order to spread, needs a means that influences its interaction and which, once it has been emitted, produces an impulse that spreads in all directions. A contemporary interpretation of the expressive possibilities of plaster, the lamps in the Pulse series capture the shapes generated by sound as it ‘penetrates’ the material. The reliefs ‘frozen’ into the stucco are the result of the spreading of acoustic waves on the surface of the object. Every frequency has its specific model, both geometric and organic.
The Pulse 64Hz (a 40cm lamp) and Pulse 116Hz (a 60cm lamp) are made in both ceiling and wall versions.

SOLAR SUSPENSION/WALL LAMP
Solar is declined in two versions, ceiling and wall lamp. The diffusor is made in a sheet of thermoformed glass which is supported by a fabric belt in the ceiling version, while the wall lamp can be mounted horizontally or vertically onto a base in matt black powder-coated metal. The LED light source can be dimmed and is contained within a hand-blown opaline glass diffusor.

LAFAYETTE LAMP
Available in two versions, wall-mounted and suspended, Lafayette is a tribute to the France of the Sun King and to 19th century Paris, but it is also a refined reference to the recent renovation of the facade of the Louis Vuitton store in Place Vendôme designed by archistar Peter Marino. It is a brass lamp with pure shapes, composed of multiple thin strips of metal which the end user can shape any way he or she desires. The spokes can be opened for a more scenographic appearance or kept flat for a more minimalist look.
