Krill Design

Krill Design is an Italian design studio and startup, proposing a process based on Circular Economy priciples that combines the need to recover waste and the creation of new products, through the development of innovative natural materials, design and creativity.

Using a Circular Economy model in which waste from the food chain is revalorized and transformed into furnishing products, Krill Design tackles the issue of emissions in parallel with that of conscious production and consumption, light weight and proposing an alternative to the current  take-make-dispose model.

The start-up also caters to the needs of individuals, with a line of small eco-designed furnishings products. These are designed in-house at Krill Design and made from coffee- or orange-based biopolymers, with a mission to eliminate the line between "Design" and "Eco-Design".

The current project the startup is involved in is the Reward Crowdfunding Campaign to bring Ohmie The Orange Lamp to life: the world's first 3D printed orange peel lamp.
