Massimo Rigaglia works and lives in Milan where he founded his studio in 2023.
With an open and multidisciplinary approach, he develops projects with minimal and pragmatic solutions.
The observation of behaviors and social phenomena, environmental changes, artisanal and industrial production techniques, the manipulation of materials, used consciously and with respect, the development of a certain design awareness, doing research starting from the consequences as well as from the needs, the historiographical investigation on archetypes, sometimes re-editable through the use of new materials and forms, in order to grasp configurations more suited to our time, all these themes, and others that aggregate over time, like an unstoppable and continuously evolving process, sensitize his activity, always placing the humans at the center in relation to the places they inhabit.
His work is also characterized by an expressive coherence made up of elementary, simple, light gestures, applications of extreme simplification and reduction in design as well as production, that simplicity necessary to try to understand what triggers objective and pragmatic design motivations.
