Angela Florio
Angela Florio, Art Craft Designer, creates and produces ornamental elements mainly on
commission for national and international clients and public institutions. Among her works,
she decorated the ceiling of Teatro Gerolamo in Milan as part of a complex restoration that
allowed its reopening in 2017. Venetian by birth, Angela lives and works in Milan, where
she founded DecorAzione® in 2000, with an atelier at Via Santa Maria Fulcorina 20.
It is
an applied art movement for living spaces, designing and creating modular systems
(decorative objects) for interiors on commission. Her modular systems are based on
"palettes," ornamental models invented and created by Angela herself, which she then
applies to every artistic field. Always fascinated by the influence of the fourth dimension
and inspired by the works of Giorgio De Chirico and Hokusai, Angela brings a
contemporary style to her creations. She uses modern materials, and each project
transforms with light, changing over time and gaining new meanings. Techniques like gold
leafing, oriental lacquers, and engravings, combined with deep historical studies and
experimental research, make each of Angela Florio’s creations unique.
Metropolitan Jungle, another project by Angela Florio, represents the scaled production
line of DecorAzione®. It offers fashion garments, accessories, and home decor items
always inspired by art, design, and nature, with practical features and the possibility of
customization, respecting cultural traditions while embracing an unpredictable synthesis of
aesthetic charm and future visions.
The philosophy of Metropolitan Jungle is based on five pillars:
• Harmony between Nature and City
• Innovation and Tradition
• Artistic Exploration
• Community and Collaboration
• Education and Awareness
