NIVA Design

NIVA Design presents the “Affettati mirrors” collection, a reinterpretation of the mirror in a contemporary and provocative way: a line of ceramic frames and a combination of tradition and innovation. The inspiration given by the classic meissen porcelain frames of the early 1700s is combined with thin slices of mortadella rolled up like flemish collars.

The mirror – a conventional symbol of vanity - is deliberately downplayed to remind us that sometimes we should not take ourselves too seriously and that only irony can both save us, and truly show us who we are!

Each piece is handmade in Italy, in collaboration with master craftsmen. NIVA design also presents the “Colate vases” collection, inspired by the soft curves of the “cosmic feminine”, as well as the strength and malleability of lava flows. The vases were designed exclusively for the VGO Associates Gallery.
