About

We are a new and unconventional gallery, a dynamic space, a place that the Masters of Comic Art and Illustration can call home, their artwork are the core of our activity. Represented artists, exhibitions, events, performances, are all part of our broad and rich cultural program. Krazy Art Gallerywas born with the desire and purpose of becoming a point of reference for collectors and enthusiasts of the world of comics and illustration, creating a context in which they can create or expand their collection, and where they can meet artists: masters of the past and protagonists of the future.

Krazy Art Galleryis located in the oldest district of Milan, once the center of the Roman Forum and today the heart of the Cinque Vie. The location is just a few minutes’ walk from Duomo, Teatro alla Scala and Pinacoteca di Brera. The Cinque Vie district together with Brera and the Tortona district are reference points in the center of Milan, where important events and trade fairs take place, especially during Fashion Week and Milan Design Week, when designers, stylists, sector operators and enthusiasts from all the world gather to take part in the Fuorisalone del Mobile.

The location is part of the historic Botta House. The edifice was built in the fifteenth century and renovated in the eighteenth century. It is a building of great architectural quality. Over the years there have been numerous renovations. It was owned by the Borromeo family, and part of the original Bramante style portico remains visible.

The gallery is in the basement and its entrance is located on "via San Maurilio 16", with a surface of 2,000 ft2 ca (180 mt2) illuminated both by natural light, thanks to three French windows, and by a lighting system designed and supplied by ERCO ILLUMINAZIONE, a leading company in the world of museum lighting technology. The location is multifunctional and it’s possible to host events, exhibitions, auctions, presentations, interviews, performances. The location has an office room with a library, a large central hall, a second hall with an original 15th-century brick barrel vault ceiling and two splendid niches carved into one of the side walls, a third square hall with a large armored closet that becomes an element of decoration and design. Furthermore, there’s a another room adjacent to the office and two bathrooms. The gallery has a very distinctive and resistant palm wooden floor, with warm colors and streaked designs.
