Suspension and becoming, The Chrysalis Knows The River's Song captures the fragile tension between seemingly motionless retreat and profound transformation. Inspired by the silent moment and poetic effort before flight, the installation invites the body to listen, to move, to become part of the metamorphosis.

‘What for the caterpillar is the end of the world, the world calls a butterfly’.

From the Greek chrysos -oro- the chrysalis is a threshold of change, vibrant with the promise of flight. It looks like a silken cocoon and yet within it is the flow of a life that pushes to be reborn, a gestation that contains the flow of life. Like a river in its perpetual motion, it makes its song heard in the constant going and then rejoins the sea. People will be able to stand inside this sound hourglass, a bath of evolutionary aquatic sound. In this golden suspension, we prepare to fly.
