Alê Jordão presents the Artistic Tapestry of Sneakers and

His Iconic Neon Creations to FuoriSalone 2025 at 5Vie Design District, Milan

Brazilian artist Alê Jordão is a master of transformation. Whether working with neon, glass, or repurposed

urban materials like guardrails, he turns everyday objects into striking contemporary art. “The pandemic

led me to revisit many of my creations,” says Jordão, a leading figure in Brazil’s contemporary art scene

for over two decades.

For the 2025 edition of FuoriSalone, Jordão returns to Milan’s vibrant 5Vie design district with a dual

exhibition that blends urban culture, streetwear, and light art.

Artistic Tapestry of Sneakers: A Fusion of Streetwear and Art

From April 7 to 13 at Via Cesare Correnti 14, Jordão unveils Artistic Tapestry of Sneakers, a

collection of eight rugs inspired by his deep passion for sneakers. “This time, I fully embraced the world

of streetwear,” he explains.

The collection reflects his connection with urban culture and the powerful influence of hip-hop,

skateboarding, and basketball on fashion and design. To bring these works to life, Jordão photographed

some of his favorite sneaker models and transformed them into rugs using an advanced digital printing

process on tufted nylon with a Persian finish. The collection is available in two sizes: 60 x 120 cm and

200 x 180 cm.

Lighting Up Milan: The Return of the ‘Man of Light’

Internationally recognized as the “man of light,” Jordão once again illuminates Milan with his signature

neon installations. Also within the 5Vie Design District, at the design exhibition Piloto Milano (Via

Olona 6), he presents Neon Puzzle, a bold and playful new series crafted from acrylic with internal neon

lighting.

“You can't come to Milan Design Week without neon—it's one of my most iconic artistic expressions,” he

says with a smile. Neon Puzzle mimics the interlocking pieces of a puzzle, inviting viewers to interact with

light and color in a dynamic, modular experience.

Book Presentation: GOD SAVE THE SNEAKERS

Adding to his presence at FuoriSalone 2025, Jordão will present his first book, GOD SAVE THE

SNEAKERS, at Via Olona 6. Published last year, the book compiles articles and images of his work,

offering a deep dive into the intersection of sneaker culture, contemporary art, and design.
