Design, passion, art and love create an unexpected creative fusion.
The 'whimsical artistic vision and strong passion for design lead Giuseppe Dicecca, creator and creative soul of Mami Colette to collaborate with Angelo Rabufetti and Francesco Barone both metal artists. Together they decided to create the project SIRIO reinterpreting an idea of lighting in an eco-sustainable,creative and sometimes crazy way.
SIRIO will be presented at the Mami Colette store on April 19 during Milan Design week.
SIRIO was born out of a love for the art of Kandisky, the father of abstract painting. The inspiration is based on the artist's typical shapes and colors.
The straight lines, dimensions and figures are characterized by asymmetrical geometries as a reminder of abstract art, and the colors are also typical of that imagery.
A SIRIO lamp fills an interior space like an 'installation. When switched off it is a real sculpture when switched on it changes its image during the day thanks to a play of shadows given by the particular arrangement of Leds.
Having a SIRIO not only to illuminate but to decorate a wall as in an art gallery.

Supporting a concept of eco-sustainability, brass, copper, steel and many other alloys that are used to make these extraordinary works are the result of recycling.
Each piece is cut and assembled by hand, as is the electrical system, and everything is completely Made in Italy.
Great attention to detail characterizes the SIRIO lamps, which are elaborated on different levels and of which each joint is connected with brass rivets . The parts illuminated by the Italian LEDs of 400 lumens power, are all liquid painted with oven-drying to arrive at an imperfection-free color application.
As SIRIO is a start-up project, there is no e-commerce available yet, but worldwide distribution is entrusted to an international agent in addition to being sold exclusively in Mami Colette's store.
