Candiani Denim presents Candiani Custom, centimetre zero, biodegradable, and compostable custom jeans. Located at Piazza Mentana 3, Candiani Custom is the first urban micro-factory specialising in made-to-measure jeans, produced and washed on-site by craftspeople using Candiani's most responsible denim fabrics and the most advanced and sustainable technologies. A truly unique and one-of-a-kind experience, Candiani Custom is based on five pillars: personalisation, transparency, sustainability, technology, and Made in Italy. 

To help resolve the problem of overproduction, every pair of jeans is produced made-to-order. The customer becomes the designer, being able to choose every detail of their unique pair of jeans. By involving the customer in every part of the experience, they are emersed into the process and able to create a more direct relationship with the world of manufacturing. 

Thanks to the use of Candiani Denim's latest innovation and patent, COREVAT, at Candiani Custom it is also possible to produce the world's first 100% biodegradable and compostable stretch jean - a true example of circular evonomy and completely traceable supply chain. 

The project involves several Italian SMEs (FKgroup, Tonello, Sip Italy Sewing, MIC, Okinawa Operations, Cadica Group, Nearchimica, Cervotessile, Riri Group and Rotondi Group), all leaders in their respective sectors. Thanks to their advanced technologies, some of which were developed exclusively for Candiani Custom, the project is a reshoring for Italian manufacturing, which combines every step in the production of a pair of jeans under one roof, in the heart of Milan. Technology blends innovation and sustainability to deliver the best in luxury, quality, and experience, including the speed of time to market. 

Each pair of jeans created is guaranteed to be the perfect fit for the customer, designed from a bespoke selection of fabrics, and carefully chosen wash or laser treatments. Every detail is chosen by the customer, from the buttons to rivets to the sewing thread colour, the external back patch, and optional embroidery. 

Candiani Custom is not just the first micro-factory for custom jeans in the heart of a city. It is a place where the tangible expression of the pillars of environmental and social sustainability, and where the concept of less is more, when less is better comes to life. The Candiani Custom space is the final destination of a short trip from Ticino Park, headquarters of the denim mill Candiani Denim, and Piazza Mentana 3 in the historic Cinque Vie neighbourhood. 

A journey along the Naviglio river that vertically links the birth and transformation of the raw material-which Candiani has been making in its factories since 1938-to the production of an exclusive and unique pair of jeans. 

The Candiani Custom space recreates the interior architecture of Milan in the '60s, allowing the coexistence of a showroom area dedicated to the choice of custom ingredients and the production area of jeans, from cutting and washing to final packaging. 

At Candiani Custom, the customer is at the centre and their choices are mindful and respectful of our planet's future. A way to see and touch the world behind the production of your own jeans, through an educational and immersive experience.
