From the building component to underwater aesthetics: the event for Milan Design Week is structured along this path, the result of the synergy between Ponzio Aluminum and NCS Color Center Italia.

For the Milanese design week, the Historic Brand, which has been involved for eighty years in the development of technologies and finishes on aluminum for architecture, and the Italian representation responsible for the diffusion of the NCS®© Chromatic System in our territory, have conceived an initiative capable of going beyond the boundaries of industry and the market and placing itself in an aesthetic dimension.

The identity of the two companies is enhanced - and even amplified - through a temporary installation by Gianluca Sgalippa, which makes the shapes generated by the aluminum extrusions dialogue with the chromatic rationality of the NCS®© System.

The concept of the installation entitled "Underwater Code" is based on a paradox. While the external frame dematerializes the wall and celebrates transparency, the setting accompanies the visitor along an enveloping, even magical atmosphere. While the light is free to pass through the window with all its illuminating power, here it becomes solid and chromatic.

A sequence of partially superimposed panels recreates, in a synthetic key, a kaleidoscope with a green-blue spectrum, with a strong three-dimensional value, a metaphor for the seabed. However, the element that certainly characterizes the set-up is the pattern that arises from the geometries of the tubular sections, which constitute the true DNA of Ponzio.

The NCS®© Chromatic System is entrusted with the task of exploring, selecting and mapping the infinite nuances of the seabed of the Abruzzo coast overlooked by Pineto, where Ponzio is based. The rich palette of "cold" shades generates an immersive experience, almost suspended, in the folds of the metropolis.
