The world of food meets that of design and craftsmanship in Eleit.it, the business project that enhances the culture of the territory, through the birth of new "Italian food experience" concepts. Titti Gallucci, the creator, who has more than twenty years of experience as a marketing and communication manager in large companies, with a particular specialization in local and territorial marketing, has set herself the goal of promoting Italian culture through meeting of designers, excellence of craftsmanship and Italian cuisine. From the synergy of these three skills, exclusive lines of Made in Italy objects are born, capable of enhancing the tasting of iconic foods, suggesting new gestures and rituals around the contemporary table.


For the Design Week in 5vie, Eleit will bring its “experiential objects” to life with a Design & Taste Experience starting from two icons of Italian food: Famiglia Oliva for the olive oil tasting and Pyxis for the tasting of buffalo mozzarella.


Famiglia Oliva is a collection of design objects designed specifically for dosing and tasting oil, made up of three elements: Elio, a spoon to measure and serve the oil. Gea, the bread, and oil dish. Pigi, a container for the olfactory experience.


The objects populate the table with characters with different connotations, designed to present and enhance oils with different organoleptic properties and origins telling a story that suggests hospitality, safety, childhood memories, well-being and, above all, Mediterranean culture.


Astrid Luglio, designer of the project, declares: "I decided to participate in Eleit because, basing my work on the search for both culinary utopias and the enhancement of precious ingredients and multisensory experiences, I found a perfect harmony between the methodology and the vision with which Eleit developed its projects and my personal research. Participating in the project also meant embracing the care and attention for the story of the process, from the choice of the culinary ingredient to that of the artisan reality".


Mariella Caputo, sommelier, master oil maker and maître of the restaurant Taverna del Capitano, from Nerano, Terra delle Sirene, Mariella Caputo, oil master and owner of the starred restaurant Taverna del Capitano, is also a creator of the Famiglia Oliva: "Just like for wine, it is worth bringing the bottle of oil to the table to appreciate the shape, the label, the information reported. However, for the service, it is useful to have supports that help to dose the oil in the best way and to emphasize its characteristics. Elio – the sun- is a dispenser that allows you to measure the ideal quantity to add to dishes: a perfect portion to protect health and avoid waste as well as risks of oxidation and rancidity that can accelerate the product's perishable process."


The Pyxis line, designed by the architect and designer Raffaella del Giudice in collaboration with the Institute Raro Caselli De Sanctis - Real Fabbrica di Capodimonte, is inspired by the sinuous shapes of the object used in ancient Greece, from which it takes its name. Originally, it was intended for the female world: a box designed to contain perfumes, jewels, or medicinal ointments. Thus, was born the design of a container for mozzarella whose closing element, once turned upside down, becomes a serving dish for the table.


The object was made in Capodimonte according to traditional processes: the ancient craftsmanship of the Real Fabbrica di Capodimonte, commissioned by Carlo di Borbone in 1743, has been handed down since 1961 within the Istituto Raro Caselli – De Sanctis with the aim to conceive and experiment the innovations of ancient art, in compliance with three fundamental rules of consumption indicated by the Consortium for the protection of Campania DOP buffalo mozzarella.


Raffaella Del Giudice states that "Eleit.it is a significant place - where new synergies are born between food, design, and craftsmanship, with the primary objective of rewarding function and creativity. Here food becomes culture, and, in my project, it is mozzarella, the so-called 'white gold' that is exalted".


"Eleit.it is the union between food, wine, and the manufacturing excellences of reference in Campania, - underlines Valter Luca De Bartolomeis, manager of the Raro Caselli-De Sanctis Institute - a functional, ergonomic and poetic project, which represents the perfect match between the white gold of Naples, i.e., the Capodimonte manufacturing, and the mozzarella, that is considered white gold too”.


On May 3rd, during the first Eleit Design & Taste Experience that will be held on the 5vie press conference, the Campania DOP buffalo mozzarella from "Giuseppe Morese" farm in Pontecagnano (in the Salerno province) will be tasted, as well as extra virgin olive oils of different qualities and origins in combination with naturally leavened bread and Irpino Vinusco wine, the Orezero labels, a white Campania Coda di Volpe DOC, and VINUSCO, a red Aglianico DOC from Irpinia.


During the Design Week, Eleit will bring to life other small Moments of Design & Taste Experience involving also the other objects of its collection.
