a project curated by simple flair in collaboration with Lapalma

On the occasion of Milano Design Week Riviera, the creative Hub directed by Simple Flair, invites the

design community, and not only, to discuss the future of the world of design and the role it can play in

the definition of the developing society. The title of the concept conceived by Simona Flacco and

Riccardo Crenna is a clear reference to the verbal time that is used, in English, to indicate actions that

are taking place at the moment of speaking, or planned for the near future. A flfluid time, under

construction and at the same time with an underlying intention.

Present Continuous tells the story of the ongoing process that is transforming the design industry,

making it a point of reference for a contemporary society, simple, inclusive, informal but concrete. The

project Manifesto is connected to the vision of the creative duo; an immersive installation open to the

city with an inclusive communication that invites the entire public of Milano Design Week to participate.

For the entire duration of the Milanese kermesse, the interiors of via Gorani host an installation/scenic

machine with a strong spatial identity, made of a material that represents design process and the very

moment of generation. Interacting with this device, through a series of inputs and outputs, open

questions, video contributions etc., the community is invited to express itself and take part in the

creation, becoming a direct example of the change taking place in the sector. A "work in progress" that

investigates contemporary aesthetics, focusing on the value of everyday life and proposing an overview

on every voice that is contributing to the evolution of the design industry. For a participatory, inclusive

and simple future.
