TATAU, like an imprint left by the gesture on a skin... of metal.
TATAU, which means to hit in Tahitian, becomes Tattoo at the end of the 18th century in Captain James Cook's diary during one of his exploratory trips to Polynesia. Universal and ancestral practice, tattooing is part of the customs of many peoples and the oldest traces were found on a man who died more than 5,000 years ago.
Faithful to the know-how of MAISON ARMAND JONCKERS, TATAU is a unique creation made of fully formed and hand-engraved black oxidized Maillechort, a silver-colored copper alloy.
In this unique creation, Alexandra, Grégoire and Armand still play with the traces left by the intelligence of the hand on the skins, whether they are in flesh or in metal.
