Plisettature, soft colors and the unmistakable transparency of Murano glass in the new collection Engravings of Federico Peri for Purho Murano.

Small objects whose material surfaces give unexpected textures and soft geometries.

Lume, Lumino, Iride and Linae the names of the first objects in a larger collection of vases, ashtrays, candle holders, candelabra and lights in which shapes and colors of the contemporary reread with politeness some of the characteristic elements of the Murano tradition such as color, murrina and engravings.

Matching from time to time in different ways to enhance the ductility of the glass, these elements become in the
Peri's project the common thread of a delicate, fresh, elegant collection that pursues the vision of Purho, revitalize the combination of design / Murano glass in a contemporary key.

So a calibrated mix of delicate and bold colors in combination with the crystal generate murrine large size. Detail present in all the objects of the collection but more evident in the Iris ashtray when viewed head-on, evanescent when viewed frontally.

At the same time is the thick submerged glass engraved, plisetted, taped or satin-finished the theme recurring on the circular Linae pots available in three sizes, in the Lume candelabra capable of ennoble the "mechanical" lines of the gear or even in the Lumino spark plug holders, the only objects in which the Murano glass shares the scene with a small brass tray, as useful as formally capable to give the right twist to the minimalism of the product.

With Engravings, Purho continues in a calibrated way the path started at the end of 2017 made of collaborations with the big names in international design, with architects devoted to the interior made to measure, with specialized artisans for a new generation of products - small complements, lights and a table edition and console - in which Murano glass is often combined with lacquered glass, refined fabrics and precious metals.
