29 ARTS IN PROGRESS gallery in Milan (Via San Vittore 13) presents the exhibition "On Seduction": curated by Giovanni Pelloso, the exhibition investigates the theme of seduction through a selection of works by artists Giuseppe Mastromatteo, Toni Meneguzzo and Rankin.
Three photographers propose their personal interpretation of secrets and suggestions that regulate the art of seduction, understood as a refined ability - not only erotic - to attract and arouse fascination, in search of a possible common denominator of a concept so changeable over time and yet so often shared in its many aspects.
For Giuseppe Mastromatteo, seduction is captured by abandoning the path of reality: these unpublished portraits of his (part of the new series Eclipse 2020), immersed in an eclipse of light, lead us into an uncertain space where everything is never revealed and expressed, giving us back that mystery that is the natural premise of desire.
In Toni Meneguzzo's large-format Polaroids we are pervaded by an almost ethereal atmosphere, in which reality is lost and leaves room for suspended time: here sensuality is entrusted to the small gestures and soft shapes of his elegant female protagonists.
Dense with an unquestionable charge, Rankin's images finally transport us into a universe of drives and instinct, shaped by the brilliant, almost violent colors, from which the playful and equally iconic sensuality of the British photographer emerges.
The opening of the exhibition will take place through private visits by appointment only:
