Exercises in seating

Spazio Sanremo will present a monographic retrospective on the work of English designer and sculptor Max Lamb curated by Federica Sala.

The exhibition "Exercises in seating" will present a large selection of historical pieces, all characterized by a sophisticated material research combined with different production techniques. Each piece represents a different point of the same obsessive search for the identity of the material, sometimes brutally sculpted, sometimes formally contained, sometimes dissolved and recomposed.
The exhibition on Max Lamb, therefore, stands as the second chapter of research on contemporary making, telling a completely different approach to both the design method and the formal result but at the same time similar in their being alternative models outside the box.
