Jonathan Bocca

Jonathan Bocca (1998) is a Tuscanian sculptural designer from Lucca.

Graduated in Interior and Furniture Design at IED in Florence,

He got the chance to experience Fabrica Research Center in Treviso.

Here he studied and worked on new materials for his sculptures and his objects.

Peculiarity focuses his works on the use of recycled paper, a material produced by the waste

of the main industries of his hometown Lucca.

Processed for some days, is a compound extremely resistant, almost completely organic

and well manageable.

Jonathan thinks that design shouldn’t use un-recycling materials; he aims to spread the

possibility to change the way design is conceived, starting from poor and recycled materials

reinterpreting them and giving them a new life and meaning. The inspiration for the objects

comes from dreams, transformed into reality by creating dreamlike creatures.
