we+ is a contemporary design studio founded in 2013 by Toshiya Hayashi and Hokuto Ando. Their work is distinguished by an approach that, through research and experimentation, shapes novel perspectives and new values. Through constant research, conducted both in Japan and abroad, the studio has developed independent projects and self-productions, resulting in numerous collaborations with companies and organizations developing R&D projects, installations and commissioned works, branding, product development, spatial design, and art direction. They have received numerous awards, including the FRAME Awards 2023 / Furniture of the Year, Dezeen Awards 2022 / Emerging Design Studio of the Year Public Vote, Wallpaper* Design Awards 2022 / Best Elements of Surprise, EDIDA 2019 / Young Designer of the Year. Their work is part of the Vitra Design Museum's collection in Germany.
