Milano Makers

Milano Makers (MiMa), now in its sixth year, has over the years created a community of makers in the field of independent design and in particular self-produced design (Independent Makers). Mima is for inclusion and not for selection, it is for the creation of paths and not for the dispersion of professionalism. These are the reasons behind the 5th edition of Sharing Design, a collective event dedicated to the themes of self-produced design that over the years, thanks to the collaboration with the City of Milan at Fabbrica del Vapore, has given hundreds of creatives the opportunity to present their work during Design Week, creating and expanding a network of contacts and exchanges of experience that is constantly evolving.

For MiMa Culture Makers means not only combining manual skills with digital technologies, useful for producing prototypes, unique pieces and small series, but also encouraging the exchange of knowledge between makers. With this in mind, last November Mima launched the Milano Makers Factory, reserved for artists, designers, graphic designers and independent makers registered with the association.
