Del Savio 1910

The story about marble our company recounts is 110 years old. Since its establishment, in 1910, three generations of Del Savio followed one another in leading the firm: first Secondiano, then Mario (with a temporary contribution of his brother Marcello), and, presently, the two brothers Manuele and Manuela.

The company, originally specialised in Venetian and Palladian floorings, progressively broadened its industrial production and nowadays manufactures marble for different purposes, such as furnishings, various types of coverings, and the construction industry. Through a radical modernisation of its manual techniques Del Savio 1910 has enriched its traditional production with different creation processes and creative languages, in order to combine marble with other materials. These innovations mirror the company’s characterising, constant push towards new challenges as well as its cutting-edge profile.

The roots of our artisanal atelier, based in Pordenone, are profoundly connected with a local, traditional production of mosaic and terrazzo. This heritage is historically associated with the town of Spilimbergo and its globally renowned Mosaic School, founded in 1922. The history of our company encompasses the two World Wars, the economic boom of the Sixties, and the quick changes which characterised the Italian manufacturing market during the Eighties and Nineties.

Today, Del Savio carries on its unique artisanal work by using only the finest materials, by employing highly qualified artisans, and by making use of high-tech equipment. In combining tradition and innovation, past and present, we value and enhance the unique cultural heritage which has been the calling card of our company from the very outset.
