Yewen Dong

Yewen Dong was born and raised in Shenzhen, a newly developed Chinese coastal city in search of its own culture. Yewen is a nomadic artist, she lived eight years in Beijing and four in the United States, and now lives in Jingdezhen, China's porcelain capital. In 2013 she graduated in Art and Design from the China Central Academy of Fine Arts, continuing her education at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC). His research spans several visual languages: ceramics, drawing, sculpture and video. A finalist at the third Officine Saffi Prize (Milan), he has exhibited his work in various institutions and museums including the American Museum of Ceramic Art, CA; Society for Contemporary Craft, PA; Muskegon Museum of Art, MI; and Mana Contemporary Chicago, IL.
