Artistic photography joins design at Spazio BIG Santa Marta, in the 5VIE district, on the occasion of Design Week 2017 (April 4-9). "Here today [...]" is the title of the monographic exhibition of photographer Christopher Broadbent, English by birth and Milanese by adoption. In his images, the theme enucleated is the pure essence of things in their static nature. Photography becomes a means of expression strongly linked to craftsmanship, in which study and technique play a primary role in the construction of the image. This is how his still lifes and the series Here today [...] are born, in which the protagonists are objects taken from everyday life, stopped in a suspended time of oblivion, together with flowers. Broadbent thus represents the fading of time, of the moment and of beauty, through images in which light becomes the means that enhances things.
