Past Post Production, the new collection by Maurizio Navone
During the Milano Design Week 2018 Restart presents its new collection on Via Brisa 2, in the city's historic heart, at a venue that hosts multiple sensibilities.
With its own memory boxes as the starting point, thirteen years later Restart picks up the same theme with a project in which container, product, stories, and references are condensed into a single item: an open box measuring 120 x 120 x 30 cm, with an iridescent bottom capable of showcasing the brand’s values and products.
It’s within this set design that the latest, renewed Restart 2018 collection is presented:
a family of lamps whose focus shifts from the object’s design to the temperature of the light emitted; a latch table which follows you from lunch to afternoon tea, a sideboard that can interpret the functions of tinello marron containers echoed by Paolo Conte, a family of dumbwaiter tables whose usage changes by moving them from the bathroom to the living area.
Restart 2018 continues to play with references, dialogues, and parallels with what has always existed, weaving together thoughts about goods and the production of sustainable values, continuing its exercises upon thoughts, actions, works, and time.
