The Kazimir decorative screen, inspired by the famous painter Malevich, is the star of the Colé Italian Design Label 2018 collection: designed by Dutch designer Julia Dozsa, it combines its historical function as a separé with the disruptive aesthetic effect of a painting.
"I transfigured myself into the zero of forms and went beyond the zero, that is, towards non-objective creation," Kazimir Malevich stated. Making this theory her own, Julia Dozsa gave life to Kazimir, an original screen made of metal covered in stretch jersey fabric, and customized it with the bright colors typical of Malevich's paintings to fill the forms. Going further, the designer has expanded the proposal of her "works" of furniture with other colors and subjects (flowers, petals, objects, etc.) that take up details of the paintings kept at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.
