Palazzo Litta

Corso Magenta, 24

The 2017 edition of A Matter of Perception will see Mosca Partners and DAMN° return to Palazzo Litta during Milan Design Week. Together again with some of the most interesting protagonists in international design and a full programme of talks and interviews on design topics.

The third edition of the A Matter of Perception exhibition will explore the theme of LINKING MINDS. Very often good ideas are generated by closed encounters and long lasting collaborations. The goal is to create an exhibition that lends into the creative process between two or more persons. Ideas that grow from scratch through a mix of friendship, mutual trust and experience. Resulting in a wonderful final project. For the first time, both courtyards will be connected to a single exhibition, from the main courtyard to the Clock’s courtyard creating a unique path to Litta Theater, the most ancient and still open theatre in the city. For whole week Palazzo Litta will be enriched by the spaces of the Theatre, the Foyer, the café-restaurant. Under the creative direction of the architect and interior stylist Elisa Ossino, the whole part of the café-restaurant will be connoted by a strong scenographic character that refers to the main concept of Linking Minds.

MAIN CORUTYARD INSTALLATION

Following this concept the courtyard of the Palazzo, the heart of the event, will be interpreted this year by Diller Scofidio + Renfro, the New York-based interdisciplinary design studio that works at the intersection of architecture, visual and performing arts. DS+R’s Courtyard installation will be supported by: Trussardi, Gaggenau, Zumtobel Brand, Living Divani, Emeco, EternoIvica and Redaelli. During the Milan Design Week – the most important design Kermesse – we will have the pleasure and honor to present at Palazzo Litta their first Italian installation.

THEATRE INSTALLATION

Michele De Lucchi, Andrea Branzi and Francesca Balena Arista will investigate the theme of ‘The Aesthetics’ in the contemporary world. This project is the result of the students Laboratory of Interior Design at the Design School of the Politecnico di Milano. This synergy with the architectural and design world will be showed in the Glass Symphony exposition together with 3M Fasara™ glass films and Michele De Lucchi and Andrea Branzi’s models. The setting up of Litta Theatre, conceived and developed for 3M by the architect Paola Silva Coronel will showcase the new 35 fabulous patterns of 3M Fasara™ glass films.
